US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh and stark warning to Iran, urging its leadership to negotiate with Washington “before it’s too late,” following a major joint military strike carried out by the United States and Israel. The warning came after Trump shared footage of the attack targeting the strategic B1 Bridge in the outskirts of Karaj.
The strike, which reportedly took place on Thursday, marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict that has now entered its second month. According to reports, the B1 Bridge—considered one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region—sustained severe damage during the operation. The structure, stretching approximately 1,050 meters, was expected to play a crucial role in regional trade and connectivity upon its completion.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump described the destruction in dramatic terms, stating that the “biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down” and warned that “much more” could follow. He emphasized that Iran must act quickly to avoid further devastation, suggesting that continued resistance could jeopardize the country’s future stability and development.
Reports from Fars News Agency indicate that multiple sites in the Azimeh area near Karaj were targeted during the coordinated strikes. The bridge, often described as one of the highest in the Middle East, was a key component of Iran’s expanding infrastructure network.
In a separate address, Trump escalated his rhetoric further, declaring that Iran could be bombed “back to the Stone Age.” However, he did not outline a clear strategic objective behind the military campaign. He suggested that the coming weeks would see intensified action, with Iran expected to face the “hardest” phase of the conflict.
Iranian officials have strongly condemned the attacks, accusing the US and Israel of committing severe violations of international law. Tehran has also criticized the strikes as inhumane, alleging civilian casualties and labeling the actions as crimes against humanity. In response to Trump’s remarks, Iranian authorities countered that such actions reflect a regression to barbarism rather than strength.
As tensions continue to rise, the situation remains volatile, with fears of broader regional instability growing by the day.
