The title of Akshay Kumar’s new movie, “Mission Raniganj: The Great Indian Rescue,” has been changed to “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the word “Bharat” in President Droupadi Murmu’s formal invitation to foreign leaders to a G20 dinner, which has sparked talk of the country’s name change.
On Wednesday, Akshay released the film’s motion poster on Instagram. The heroic rescue operation of the Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill, who led a group of young people trapped in a coal mine, is the basis for the film.
The motion poster provides a glimpse into the dramatic rescue effort that took place when miners got stuck 350 feet underground in a coal mine. Akshay plays the role of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who carried out a nerve-wracking operation to free the captive children.
Tinu Suresh Desai is the director of Mission Raniganj, which is produced by Vashu, Jackky, Deepshikha, and Ajay Bhagnani.
In the movie, Parineeti Chopra will play the female lead. The opposition’s assertions that the Centre planned to formally float a proposal to rename the nation from “India” to “Bharat” during the upcoming Special Session of Parliament from September 18 to 22 now have more support thanks to the name change of Akshay’s upcoming film.
