An old video of Charlie Kirk and his wife, Erika, has gone viral this week, capturing the internet’s attention just days after the Turning Point USA founder was assassinated during a campus event in Utah. The resurfaced clip, taken from an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, has become a bittersweet reminder of his personal life away from politics.
In the video, Erika—who was Charlie’s fiancée at the time—appears visibly nervous as he walks into the room to interview her. She blushes, struggles to focus, and openly admits on camera that “sitting this close to him” made it nearly impossible for her to keep her composure.
Laughing through her nerves, Erika says, “I’m not going to be able to focus,” before adding that she might “just gonna stare” at him instead. Charlie, smiling at her, played along and introduced her as his “most special guest,” asking her to tell viewers more about herself. A former Miss Arizona USA, Erika tried to introduce herself but confessed she was too flustered. “This is mortifying,” she said, as Charlie continued to look at her with affection.
The resurfaced clip has quickly spread across social media, gaining more than 3.8 million views on X. Users commented on the couple’s chemistry, with one posting, “I know that look. The body language. It’s the same way I look at my husband.” Another user wrote, “My eyes are leaking again. They are soul mates.”
Earlier this week, Erika also shared a separate video where Charlie was seen telling their young daughter the story of how they first met. Captioned “My favorite love story,” the clip has been watched more than 66 million times, receiving over 5 million likes and thousands of heartfelt comments.
Charlie Kirk often spoke about their first meeting at Bill’s Burgers in New York in 2018, describing it as an unforgettable dinner where he immediately knew Erika was “the one.” The couple married in 2021, welcomed their daughter in August 2022, and their son in May 2024.
For many, the resurfaced interview has become a poignant reminder of the late conservative leader’s life beyond politics—focusing instead on the love story he shared with Erika.
