The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a decisive step in its preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by announcing the first list of 195 candidates. This significant move was disclosed by BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawade during a press conference held in New Delhi on Saturday.
In a bid to consolidate its position and maximize electoral gains, the BJP has strategically distributed its candidate selection across various states. The comprehensive list includes candidates for 51 seats from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from West Bengal, 24 from Madhya Pradesh, 15 each from Gujarat and Rajasthan, 12 from Kerala, 9 seats from Telangana, and 11 from Assam, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh each. Additionally, the list encompasses candidates for five seats from Delhi, two from Jammu and Kashmir, three from Uttarakhand, two from Arunachal Pradesh, and one each from Goa, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar, and Daman and Diu.
BJP’s national general Secretary Vinod Tawde, while addressing the press conference, emphasized the party’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive representation across states. The carefully curated list aims to ensure effective representation and resonance with the electorate in every constituency.
