Manish Sisodia Launches AAP’s ‘Padyatra’ for 2025 Delhi Polls on Arvind Kejriwal’s Birthday

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) officially launched its campaign for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections today with a statewide ‘padyatra,’ spearheaded by senior leader Manish Sisodia. The event coincides with the birthday of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, adding a symbolic touch to the party’s push for a third consecutive term in the capital.

The ‘padyatra’ or foot march, which started early in the morning from Connaught Place, saw participation from thousands of AAP supporters and volunteers. The campaign aims to connect with voters at the grassroots level, addressing their concerns and showcasing the party’s achievements over the past decade.

Sisodia, addressing the crowd, emphasized the significance of the day, noting that it reflects AAP’s commitment to its core values of transparency, education, and health for all. “Today, as we begin our journey towards the 2025 elections, we renew our pledge to serve the people of Delhi with dedication and honesty. This ‘padyatra’ is not just a political event but a celebration of our vision for a better Delhi,” Sisodia said.

He also highlighted the major initiatives taken by the Kejriwal government, including the expansion of public healthcare, improvement in school infrastructure, and the Mohalla Clinics, which have become a model for public health across the country. “Our focus remains on the common man, and through this padyatra, we will reach every nook and corner of Delhi to listen to the people and work with them to build a brighter future,” he added.

The march will continue over the next few weeks, covering all 70 constituencies of Delhi. Each day, AAP leaders will meet with local communities, conduct public meetings, and address issues specific to each area.

Kejriwal, who is currently out of the country, conveyed his gratitude via a video message, thanking the people of Delhi for their continued support. He urged them to participate actively in the padyatra and ensure that the momentum of change initiated by AAP is carried forward into the next election.

As the padyatra progresses, the party is expected to unveil more aspects of its election strategy, with a focus on maintaining its stronghold in Delhi while countering challenges from opposition parties.
