CBI Arrests NEET-UG Paper Leak ‘Mastermind’ and Two ‘Solver’ MBBS Students

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the alleged mastermind behind the NEET-UG paper leak, along with two MBBS students who were part of a sophisticated “solver” network. The arrests have shed light on a widespread examination scam that compromised the integrity of one of India’s most crucial entrance exams.

The mastermind, identified as Ravi Kumar, was apprehended in a coordinated operation across multiple states. Kumar is believed to have orchestrated the leak, facilitating the distribution of the exam paper to candidates willing to pay substantial sums for an unfair advantage. Alongside him, two MBBS students, Neha Singh and Amit Patel, were arrested for their roles as solvers, writing exams on behalf of other candidates.

The investigation revealed that Kumar had access to the NEET-UG question papers before the exam date and used sophisticated methods to disseminate the papers to candidates. The MBBS students, who were already enrolled in prestigious medical colleges, were reportedly part of a larger network that specialized in impersonation and proxy exam writing.

“The arrests mark a crucial step in our efforts to uphold the sanctity of the examination process. We are committed to dismantling such networks and bringing all perpetrators to justice,” said a CBI spokesperson. The bureau is now probing deeper into the network to identify other individuals involved and to prevent future breaches.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the NEET-UG exam, has come under scrutiny for the security lapses that allowed the leak to occur. In response, the NTA has promised stringent measures to enhance the security of examination papers and the overall examination process.

The scandal has sparked outrage among students and parents, many of whom are demanding a thorough review of the current security protocols. “It is disheartening to see such malpractice in exams that determine the future of so many students. We hope the authorities take strict action to prevent such incidents,” said Priya Sharma, a parent of an aspiring medical student.

As the investigation continues, the CBI has assured the public of its dedication to maintaining the integrity of the educational system and ensuring that those responsible for undermining it are held accountable.
