The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its air defence systems successfully thwarted a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack. According to the official statement, Russian forces intercepted and destroyed 158 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by Ukraine in what is described as a coordinated assault.
The Ministry’s statement emphasized that the drones were neutralized before they could cause any significant damage to Russian territory. The incident reportedly took place in several regions bordering Ukraine, with the most intense activity observed in areas close to key military installations.
