Hunter Biden, the son of outgoing President Joe Biden, has yet to meet his six-year-old daughter Navy, according to her mother, Lunden Roberts. Roberts, 54, claims that Hunter, 54, continues to refuse to acknowledge their daughter despite a court-ordered paternity test confirming his fatherhood. The couple was in a relationship from 2016 to 2018, during which time Hunter denied Navy’s parentage.
Roberts expressed her heartbreak to The Times of London, stating, “He has missed out on a lot in his daughter’s life, and he has hurt her in ways that I don’t think he’ll ever realize.” She emphasized that a father should not be the source of his child’s first heartbreak. Navy, who resides in Batesville, Arkansas, with her mother, has been asking about her father and is eager to meet him.
The communication between Hunter and Roberts reportedly dwindled after the release of her candid book about their relationship. According to Roberts, Hunter used to make monthly Zoom calls but has since stopped reaching out. President Joe Biden has acknowledged Navy as part of his family, expressing his and Jill Biden’s desire for all their grandchildren, including her, to thrive.
Roberts reminisced about her first meeting with Biden when he was vice president and mentioned how he visited their home during Hunter’s struggles with addiction. She described the situation as “very sad,” noting the emotional toll it has taken on both Hunter and Navy. In his memoir Beautiful Things, published in 2021, Hunter claimed to have no memory of Roberts, prompting her to label his statement as “the greatest public gaslighting of all time.”
