Yogi Adityanath Slams Pakistan: “Terrorism Will One Day Swallow It Whole”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Pakistan during the ‘Bharat Shaurya Tiranga Yatra’ in Lucknow, warning that the neighbouring country’s support for terrorism will ultimately lead to its self-destruction. “One day, terrorism will swallow Pakistan itself,” he declared, calling the country “completely hollow from within.”

Referring to India’s recent cross-border action, Adityanath said, “Operation Sindoor was a reply to Pakistan’s misdeeds. Those who point fingers at India and disturb its security will be put in a situation where no one will be able to attend their funeral.”

The Chief Minister also described Pakistan as a “failed nation,” highlighting what he called a disgraceful act—where Pakistan Army officials and leaders attended the funerals of terrorists. “The world has seen this shameful act. In 70-75 years, Pakistan has only sown the seeds of terrorism,” he said.

The Tiranga Yatra, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from May 13 to 23, celebrates the bravery of the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor, conducted on May 7. As part of the operation, India carried out precision strikes on nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), eliminating over 100 terrorists affiliated with groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Following the operation, Pakistan retaliated with heavy shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border. However, on May 10, both nations reportedly reached an understanding to cease military actions.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, BJP state president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, and other cabinet ministers joined Yogi Adityanath at the Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow. Pathak also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leadership for organising the campaign to honour the armed forces.

Yogi further praised PM Modi for visiting the Adam Air Base in Punjab post-operation, calling it a morale booster for Indian soldiers on the frontlines.
