Supreme Court Enlists IIT-Delhi to Verify NEET-UG Exam Question Answer

The Supreme Court of India has called upon the expertise of IIT-Delhi to resolve a contentious issue regarding an answer in the NEET-UG exam. The decision comes after a series of petitions challenging the accuracy of one of the questions in the highly competitive medical entrance examination.

The controversy erupted when multiple students and educators raised concerns about the correctness of a particular answer in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET-UG, which is a crucial gateway for aspiring medical students in India. Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the Supreme Court decided to seek the assistance of IIT-Delhi, renowned for its academic excellence and rigorous standards. “Given the technical nature of the dispute, we have deemed it appropriate to consult with experts from IIT-Delhi to ascertain the correct answer,” stated the bench led by Justice N. V. Ramana.

IIT-Delhi has been tasked with analyzing the question and providing an authoritative determination. The court has instructed IIT-Delhi to submit their findings within a specified timeframe to expedite the resolution.
