However, his gesture swiftly met with opposition from the BJP, which promptly demanded an apology from Gandhi.
The controversy erupted after BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia inadvertently mentioned Prime Minister Modi’s caste during a televised debate, fueling speculations and discussions across political circles. Gandhi, seizing the moment during a public address, expressed gratitude to the BJP for inadvertently shedding light on what he called the “unspoken truth.”
