In a stern warning to Islamabad, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared that Pakistan has been “put on notice,” and any future misadventure will result in its complete destruction by the Indian armed forces. Speaking at the All Jammu and Kashmir Jat Sabha, Sinha reiterated the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from the Union Territory and ensuring justice for victims of cross-border aggression.
“Pakistan is on notice. If it resorts to any misadventure in the future, our armed forces will make sure to destroy this terrorist state,” said the Lieutenant Governor. Emphasizing the zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and its enablers, Sinha stated that there would be no differentiation between terrorists and their sympathisers. “Their actions will be met with similar punishments,” he added.
During his address, Sinha lauded the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces and paid tribute to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 and the civilians who lost their lives due to Pakistani shelling from May 7 to 10. These events were followed by India’s retaliatory strikes under Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps across the Line of Control.
He assured that the Government of India is fully committed to the rehabilitation of the affected families. “Our brave forces have written a new chapter of valour with Operation Sindoor,” he said.
Sinha also acknowledged the historical role of the Jat community, especially those residing near India’s borders. “You are the first line of defence. Your courage, sacrifice, and nationalism have deepened the patriotic spirit in society,” he told the gathering.
Calling for unity across communities, Sinha urged citizens to come together to defeat forces attempting to disrupt the social fabric of the nation. “In these challenging times, your role in maintaining national unity is more critical than ever,” he said.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for ushering in what he termed an “era of equality” in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly through initiatives empowering marginalised communities.
“Let us transform the dream of a united and developed Bharat into reality, as a tribute to our bravehearts who envisioned a strong and powerful nation,” Sinha said.
