K Chandrashekar Rao Denies Daughter K Kavitha’s Role in Delhi Excise Policy Case, Calls It ‘Scam Created by Modi’

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has vehemently denied allegations linking his daughter, K Kavitha, to the Delhi excise policy case, dismissing the claims as a “scam created by Modi.” Rao has accused the Modi government of orchestrating a political conspiracy to malign his family ahead of crucial elections.

The controversy emerged after reports surfaced implicating K Kavitha, former Telangana MP and daughter of Chief Minister KCR, in connection with irregularities related to Delhi’s excise policy. However, Rao has categorically refuted these allegations, asserting that they are baseless and politically motivated.

Addressing the media, K Chandrashekar Rao condemned what he described as a smear campaign orchestrated by the Modi government to tarnish the reputation of his family and undermine the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party’s credibility.

“This so-called ‘scam’ involving my daughter K Kavitha is nothing but a fabrication designed by the Modi-led BJP government to divert attention from their failings and to undermine our party’s electoral prospects,” stated Chief Minister Rao during a press conference in Hyderabad.

Kavitha, who has been actively involved in Telangana politics, has also denied any wrongdoing, emphasizing that the accusations are part of a larger political game orchestrated by opposition parties to undermine her family’s political legacy.

The Delhi excise policy case has become a focal point in the ongoing political discourse in Telangana, with opposition parties leveraging the allegations to target the ruling TRS government ahead of upcoming elections.
