‘BJP Should Listen to Mohan Bhagwat’: CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke Says Party Is in Power Because of RSS

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should listen to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, arguing that the ruling party’s political strength is rooted in the organisation’s support.

Dipke, who led a protest at Jantar Mantar over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, made the remarks while responding to questions about Bhagwat’s recent comments in New York.

According to news agency PTI, Dipke said the BJP had begun to believe that it had grown bigger than the RSS after being in power for 12 years and controlling several government agencies.

“I have been saying this from the beginning that the BJP should listen to Mohan Bhagwat,” Dipke said. He added that the party should pay attention to the RSS chief because “they are in power because of the RSS.”

Dipke also contrasted Bhagwat’s comments on inclusivity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reported use of the term “dimagi naxal” while referring to protesting Gen Z.

He said Bhagwat had earlier stated that young protesters should not be branded anti-national. According to Dipke, the use of terms such as “dimagi naxal” showed that the Prime Minister was not following the RSS chief’s approach.

“The RSS chief talks about inclusivity and not disrespecting children, while the PM uses such words. This doesn’t look good,” Dipke said.

His remarks came after Bhagwat said that a Hindu who believes there should be no Muslims in India would not remain a Hindu, reiterating a message of inclusivity.

Dipke responds to Sonam Wangchuk

Dipke also addressed activist Sonam Wangchuk’s comments that CJP leaders have political ambitions and are “not saints.”

Dipke argued that Wangchuk’s remarks had been distorted. He said Wangchuk had praised CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka as talented and good leaders who had conducted their agitation honestly.

Dipke added that nobody can predict what another person might do in the future and urged people not to place “blind faith” in anyone.

Wangchuk, who had staged a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, has also said that having political ambitions is not inherently wrong.
