In a tragic ATV accident that occurred on Friday evening, May 24, 2025, Alyssa Boyd, 23, lost her life, and former Ohio State and Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming, 24, was critically injured. The crash happened around 8:13 p.m. in Columbia Township, located in Pennsylvania’s Bradford County near the New York state line.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Julian Fleming was driving a 2024 Yamaha ATV with Alyssa Boyd as his passenger when the vehicle struck a deer that suddenly appeared on the rural roadway. The violent collision resulted in the death of Boyd at the scene due to “extensive injuries,” while Fleming was rushed to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Neither of the riders was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Authorities noted that a dead deer found nearby showed damage consistent with the accident. The incident is still under investigation, with the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists, Troy Fire Department, and Guthrie EMS responding to the scene.
