US President Joe Biden and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina snapped a picture at the G20 Summit on Saturday.
Abdul Momen, the foreign minister of Bangladesh, said it was a wonderful occasion with everyone feeling good. President Biden also seemed extremely thrilled while taking the selfie.
Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister said in an exclusive interview with ANI, “Yes, President Biden was so happy that he snatched the phone from a friend of mine..because he was finding it difficult to shoot the picture, so took it…it was fun, it was very fantastic. I think the equation is excellent; judging by the smiles on everyone’s faces, it was a lovely time.”
Declaration and said that everyone had agreed to it as a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s great leadership.
“Everyone’s acceptance of the statement was sparked by Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, and his dynamism and personal charisma were the reasons why everyone agreed to the declaration…There was much uncertainty around the declaration, but I must commend the Indian leadership for their tremendous work,” he remarked.
At the G20 Summit’s opening session on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of advancing human-centric development. He pointed out that India had engaged in projects like the LiFE Mission and highlighted the International Year of Millets with a sense of One Earth.
Speaking during Session 1 of the G20 Summit on the topic of One Earth, PM Modi shared a message on X, formerly known as Twitter. highlighted the necessity of advancing human-centric development, something that Indian culture has long placed a strong focus on.
India has worked on projects like the LiFE Mission, highlighted the International Year of Millets, started the Green Grids Initiative – “One Sun, One World, One Grid”, harnessed solar power, encouraged natural farming, and launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission with a One Earth mindset.
At the G20 Summit in Delhi, PM Modi claimed to have had a “productive meeting”. At Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, he greeted world leaders and shared glimpses of himself with them.
He also praised the G20 organization for admitting the African Union as a permanent member.
PM Modi in a post on X stated, “Honoured to welcome the African Union as a permanent member of the G20 Family. This will strengthen the G20 and also strengthen the voice of the Global South.”
