New Delhi, September 11: Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was welcomed by President Droupadi Murmu on Monday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to a news release from Rashtrapati Bhavan, she also arranged a feast in his honor.
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President welcomed the Crown Prince and noted that Saudi Arabia is one of India’s most significant strategic allies. She was pleased to see the significant improvement in India-Saudi Arabia relations over the past few years.
According to President Murmu, Saudi Arabia and India are natural partners because of our shared economic interests, dedication to a peaceful and sustainable world, and common cultural experiences.
The President noted that the economic aspect of the connection between Saudi Arabia and India has expanded recently. According to the official statement, she also stated that there are numerous potentials for boosting Saudi investment in India across numerous different sectors.
She added that Saudi Arabia has welcomed a significant number of Indian expats and provided them with the freedom and support they need to develop. They have significantly aided in the development and prosperity of Saudi Arabia via their tenacity and expertise. She expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for looking after them.
The President recognized Saudi Arabia’s contribution as a positive factor for world peace and stability. According to the statement, she expressed optimism that the Crown Prince’s visit and attendance at the G20 Summit would further solidify the extensive relationship between Saudi Arabia and India.
At the gathering, which was addressed by President Murmu and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, other Saudi Arabian delegates were present, including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NSA Ajit Doval, Union Ministers, and others.
The Saudi Crown Prince also thanked India for its cordial hospitality and welcome during his tour there. The King of Saudi Arabia remarked, “We the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia value the historical relationship between the two countries and look forward to deepening cooperation in all areas.”
The Saudi Crown Prince began a three-day tour to Delhi on Saturday and lingered after the G20 Summit to conduct a state visit. A bilateral meeting between PM Modi and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia took place on Monday in New Delhi.
