A 2023 photo of Elon Musk and Ashley St. Clair has resurfaced just days after the 26-year-old author and conservative commentator claimed she secretly gave birth to his child five months ago. The picture, taken in May 2023, shows Musk, St. Clair, and Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon at Twitter headquarters in San Francisco.
At the time, St. Clair had travelled to San Francisco to interview the billionaire for Babylon Bee, a conservative satirical website. After the meeting, she posted the image on X (formerly Twitter), jokingly captioning it, “He accepted our $44 billion IOU. Elon Musk x Babylon Bee coming next week.”
Ashley St. Clair’s Baby Announcement
The controversy erupted last week when St. Clair took to X to reveal that she had given birth five months ago and that Musk was the father.
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
She further stated that she wanted her child to have a normal and safe upbringing.
Brian Glicklich, a representative for St. Clair, also confirmed that the two had been privately working on an agreement regarding their child.
“It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially,” Glicklich wrote in a statement. “We are waiting for Elon Musk to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”
Elon Musk’s Response
Despite the growing public interest in the situation, Musk has not yet addressed St. Clair’s claim. The tech mogul, known for his active social media presence, has remained silent on the matter, leaving the internet buzzing with speculation.
As the story unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Musk will confirm or deny the claims made by St. Clair.
