Donald Trump has long tried to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender and financier who died in a New York prison in 2019. However, recent revelations from Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, cast doubt on Trump’s efforts to downplay their association. Speaking in an interview on CNN’s OutFront with Erin Burnett, Mark described Trump and Epstein as “very close” friends, contradicting the former president’s narrative.
CNN’s investigation also unearthed a collection of photos and videos that further highlights their relationship. According to these findings, Epstein attended Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples and was seen with Trump’s children at a restaurant opening. Despite Trump’s repeated denials of a close friendship, these new pieces of evidence paint a different picture.
When Erin Burnett asked Mark Epstein about the nature of his brother’s relationship with Donald Trump, Mark was candid. “They were very close,” he stated. “They were good friends.” Mark also revealed that Trump frequently visited Jeffrey Epstein’s office during the 1990s and flew on Epstein’s private jet several times. Similarly, Epstein flew on Trump’s plane, suggesting a mutual and consistent relationship.
Mark further speculated that Trump’s flight logs could provide more evidence of their connections, though it remains unclear whether these logs have been fully analyzed. His remarks align with the visual evidence CNN presented, showing Trump and Epstein together on various occasions.
Mark Epstein also recounted a particularly revealing anecdote from 1999. According to Mark, Jeffrey told him about a conversation with Trump in which he asked, “How come you sleep with so many married women?” Trump’s reply was both crude and unsettling: “Because it’s so wrong.”
Mark elaborated that Jeffrey intentionally repeated the question to Trump during a private flight so Mark could hear the same response. Trump reportedly repeated his answer word for word: “Because it’s so wrong.”
For Mark, this exchange wasn’t just a casual joke among acquaintances but rather an example of the comfort level and familiarity between the two men. “That’s not the kind of question you ask a casual acquaintance,” Mark remarked. “It’s a question you ask a good friend.”
New Evidence Deepens Questions About Trump and Epstein
The revelations from Mark Epstein, combined with CNN’s investigation, complicate Trump’s efforts to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein. Photos and videos show Epstein attending prominent events in Trump’s life, including his wedding and social gatherings. These materials, along with Mark’s testimony, suggest that their relationship was closer than Trump has publicly admitted.
