The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, was given an extensive briefing on Wednesday afternoon regarding the various activities and pavilions featured in the 12th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF). The event, under the theme ‘Today’s Resources.. Tomorrow’s Wealth’ is currently being held at the Expo Centre Sharjah from September 13 to 14.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed embarked on a comprehensive tour of the forum’s corridors, meticulously organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB). During the tour, he gained insights into the seminars and related events that align with the forum’s overarching theme and topics. These activities have been designed to cater to a wide array of sectors, offering invaluable experiences and showcasing successful government communication models capable of addressing future challenges.
Furthermore, the Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council paid visits to several participating pavilions within the forum, representing various media outlets and government entities. His engagements included a detailed review of these entities’ contributions to the forum, with a focus on their workshops, seminars, and lectures that employ cutting-edge methods to bolster government communication on a global scale.
The International Government Communication Forum boasts more than 90 main and side sessions, a wealth of motivational speeches, proactive events, discussions, and specialized programs across 14 different platforms. This dynamic gathering serves as a global hub for advancing the field of communication. It enjoys the support of over 35 local, regional, and international partners and features participation from more than 250 speakers, each bringing their unique expertise and backgrounds to the forefront.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed’s visit to the IGCF was accompanied by esteemed dignitaries, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Districts & Villages Affairs Department; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; and Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansoori, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC).
The 12th IGCF edition continues to serve as a platform for constructive dialogue and knowledge exchange, reaffirming the importance of effective government communication in shaping the future.
