Jeet Adani, the younger son of billionaire Gautam Adani, is set to tie the knot with Diva Shah on February 7 in Ahmedabad. While the wedding is expected to be a private affair, Jeet recently made headlines with an amusing revelation on Shark Tank India. During his appearance on the business reality show, Jeet shared a lighthearted childhood story involving a prank by his friends that resulted in an unwanted matrimonial profile on Shaadi.com.
Jeet Adani’s unexpected Shaadi.com presence
During his conversation with Shark Tank India judge and Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal, Jeet recalled how his school friends played a prank on him years ago.
“In middle school, probably in the 7th or 8th grade, you know how boys are… they love to prank each other. So, one of my friends created a profile for me on Shaadi.com,” Jeet revealed, laughing. “I have no idea whose email or phone number was used. I have been trying my level best to get it taken down.”
With his wedding just days away, Jeet took the opportunity to directly request Anupam Mittal to remove the profile, jokingly adding, “Meri shaadi ho rahi hai, aapke Shaadi.com pe profile hai.”
How Jeet Adani met Diva Shah
During the conversation, Jeet also shared details about how he met his fiancée, Diva Shah. “I actually met her through a family friend,” he said. Diva, the daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah, has been actively involved with the Adani Foundation’s disability program. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and has been closely working with social initiatives.
Jeet and Diva got engaged in March 2023, and their wedding is set to take place on February 7 in Ahmedabad. The Adani family has opted for a low-key celebration, with Gautam Adani previously stating that the event will not feature celebrity performances.
Jeet Adani’s vision for social impact
Beyond the humorous exchange, Jeet used his Shark Tank India platform to highlight a cause close to his heart—the upliftment of differently-abled individuals. He shared that his grandmother instilled in him the importance of giving back, and his visit to Mitti Cafe at Mumbai Airport was a turning point.
“When I went for the opening, I saw the employees smiling. They had a spark despite all the hardships they had gone through,” Jeet said, explaining how the moment inspired him to work toward providing better opportunities for differently-abled people.
As a result, the Adani Group is now working towards ensuring that at least 5% of its workforce consists of differently-abled employees.
