Civil Nuclear Technology, Jet Deal on Agenda as PM Modi bilateral talks with President Biden

Prior to the G20 Summit beginning on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden met in private in the nation’s capital on Thursday.
The continuing discussions, which are taking place at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, Prime Minister Modi’s official residence in New Delhi, will cover a wide range of topics with a special emphasis on strengthening bilateral ties.

Their meetings will strengthen the relationship between India and the USA and cover a wide variety of topics, according to a post on X by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Both leaders will have the chance to continue where they left off during PM Modi’s first State visit to the US in June during their bilateral meeting. The US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was reported as saying in a Reuters article that the bilateral meeting is anticipated to result in significant advancements on the GE jet engine agreement and civil nuclear technology.

For the G20 Summit, President Biden traveled to New Delhi early on Friday. His trip to India is his first as president.
