The Chenab rail bridge, located in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, spans the picturesque Chenab River at a height of approximately 359 meters (1,178 feet) above the riverbed. It is designed to connect the regions of Bakkal and Kauri, enhancing connectivity and accessibility in the mountainous terrain of northern India.

“The trial run on the Chenab rail bridge was conducted smoothly, validating the structural integrity and operational readiness of this engineering marvel,” stated a spokesperson from the Indian Railways, highlighting the meticulous planning and execution involved in the project.
